Pat was an Edmonton New Year baby, born January 1, 1950 to Clarence and Lillian Gemmell. She joined the family with her older brother, Dennis and was followed by her brother, Marvin and sister, Peggy.
Pat was an independent woman; smart, creative and a bit of a free spirit. She was not afraid to pack up and move to a different town or city if needed.
Pat started working from a young age, wanting to have as much independence as possible. The most fulfilling work she did for over 30 years was with the Columbia Icefields Food Service. The friendships she made with her employers and staff lasted the rest of her life.
She loved sewing, creating beautiful clothing and home décor. Pat took up jewelry making, adding many pieces to her own large collection. Pat had an eye for home décor and was able to put a home together in no time. She loved astrology and treasured her telescope, which enabled her to view the stars and especially the moon.
Left to cherish Pat’s memory are her brother, Marvin (Cindy) of St. Albert, AB; her sister, Peggy (Ernie) of Edmonton, AB; her nephew and her numerous nieces.
Pat was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Lillian and her brother, Dennis.
A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be announced at a later date.
Pat will be forever in our memories.
