It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of Lance Alfred Kirschner on June 8, 2021, at the age of 62 years. Lance was the cornerstone of his family, devoted husband and trusted friend. He will be greatly missed.
Lance is survived by his wife Geneva; sister Susan (Dwight); brother Martin (Dawn); sister-In-law Kathy (Doug), sister-in-law Donna (Doug), sister-in-law Marlene (Derran); brother-in-law Gerald (Pam); nephews Lee (Deidre), Kyle (Michelle), Lucas (Janet), Joseph, Stephen; nieces Meagan (Chad), Heidi (Terrence), Abby , Sophia, Isabella, Sarah; father-in-law Gerald (Betty) and a large circle of extended family. Lance is preceded by his parents Alfred and Evelyn (Cramer) and nephew Matthew.
Lance loved life, especially time spent with family. Whether it was hosting large family gatherings or simple visits, for him, what mattered most was being together. His humor and wit were a constant source of laughter that brightened everyone’s day. Lance had a passion for exploring the vast wilderness of the Canadian Rockies. This sense of adventure and desire to learn was a reminder to us all that life is a world of experience. Lance had a kind heart and a gentle soul and did what he could to make the daily lives of those around him better. His simple acts of kindness and thoughtful gestures had a profound effect on all that knew him. Lance was a very special person and will always be remembered; forever in our hearts.
A Memorial Service for Lance will be held at the Grace Lutheran Church in Edmonton, Alberta on June 22 at 13:00.
