We are deeply saddened to announce that our daughter, sister, and sister-in-law, Kendra Audrey Harris passed suddenly away on July 4th, 2020, at the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre in Fort McMurray, AB, at 20 years of age.
She is predeceased by her loving mother, Jeanette Bridget, grandfather Innis Langer, and grandfather Hubert Harris.
Kendra leaves to mourn her family who loved her dearly: her dad Kenneth Harris; sister Brianne and brother in-law Christopher Oke (Fort McMurray, AB); grandmother Audrey Harris (New Chelsea, NL); grandmother Genevieve Langer (Heart’s Desire, NL); and her large circle of aunts, uncles and cousins from both the Harris and Langer family. She also leaves to mourn her large circle of friends in both Newfoundland and Fort McMurray, her Early Childhood Educator co-workers and the “tiny humans” she loved to care for.
Kendra had a smile that could light up any room. She had big plans in life. She aspired to travel the world and make many memories, to further her education in the Early Childhood field, and watch a drift car race or two with the 881 Crew. Our hearts are broken, her life was taken too soon; we will all miss her dearly. We take comfort in knowing that Kendra is now with her Mom.
Cremation to take place in Edmonton, AB. A celebration of her life will be held in Fort McMurray, AB at a date, time and location to be announced. Due to the current pandemic, and travel restrictions, a Funeral Mass and burial will be held at a later date in Heart’s Desire, NL.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Kendra Harris Memorial Fund by contacting Brianne at [email protected].
