Janet Irene Southerton

On July 28, 2023, Janet Southerton passed away at 78 years old surrounded by her children. While she spent almost 50 years in Canada, Janet was still British at heart. She lived a life of service to others, caring for everyone from her residents at work to her partner Bob. She was a selfless soul who found joy in helping those around her always putting her friends and family first. She is survived by her four children Dawn, Gayle, Ruth and Allen and their families as well as her sister Carole who will all miss her dearly. Janet was predeceased by her husband of 19 years David Southerton as well as her partner Bob Carr.

A funeral service to celebrate Janet’s life will be held at St. Faith’s Anglican Church 11725 93 Street Edmonton, AB on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at1:00 PM with a graveside service to follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Following the graveside, all are invited to join the family for a reception at Balwin Community Hall 12904 74 Street NW Edmonton.
