

Glenn was born on October 23, 1929 in Bateman, Saskatchewan to Herman and Edith Erickson. He was the 8th of 10 children. He moved with his family to Worsley, Alberta in 1931 and back to Saskatchewan in 1934 where the family lived until they moved to Victoria, BC in 1948. Glenn owned and operated one of the first courier services in Victoria called the Dime Messenger.
It was in Victoria that Glenn met the love of his life, Edith (Edie) Richardson. They were married on July 27, 1951 in Victoria. Their daughter Gail was born the following year. Glenn moved his young family to Worsley in 1953 to take up farming. There they had three more children. Their son Brad was born in 1954, Mark in 1960 and Randy in 1965. Glenn and Edie developed their homestead in Worsley and raised their family there. Glenn worked at various winter jobs to support his growing family and was the Esso and then U.F.A. Bulk fuel agent for many years. He was very active within the community. He was a school trustee for 14 years, active in the United Church and was involved in the Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed many years in Worsley before retiring to St. Albert, Alberta in 1994. Edie passed away in 1997. Glenn remarried in 1999 to Clemy who passed away in 2018. Glenn spent his remaining years in Edmonton until his passing. Glenn was also predeceased by his parents and 9 siblings.
Glenn will be forever loved and missed by his four children, Gail (Mark), Brad (Pat), Mark (Shelley) and Randy (Lori) as well as his grandchildren Craig (Suzanne), Pamela (Cam), Lisa (Jared), Courtney (Shayne), Larissa, Kyle, Amanda and great-grandchildren Aria, Mallory and Morgan as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
With the current COVID situation, there will be no celebration of life at this time. It was Glenn’s wish that he be laid to rest in Worsley. The family will plan for this celebration at a future date to honour Glenn and Edie’s life in the Worsley area.
