I knew Guy from our time working together at Housing.  He had a great sense of humour and was a wonderful friend.  I hope that in time all the happy moments spent with Guy help you through your sadness and know that he was truly a wonderful person that we were lucky to have got the chance to meet.

May he rest in peace and his family feel comfort knowing that we all cared for him.

I met Guy at the Housing Division at the Government of Alberta in 2012 when I was just starting my career as an intern and he was always engaging and interesting to talk to. He never shied away from sharing his vast knowledge and so much of his advice and informal mentoring helped guide me as I figured things out. He was always such a pleasure to work with and even more so when we had the chance to occasionally connect on a more personal basis.

My deepest sympathy to Guy's family.  I worked with Guy for a very short time but I can say that he is brilliant and has great dedication to his work.  He taught me a lot of things about my job and very willing to help despite of his condition. He will be missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Guy on several occasions over the past number of years.  I soon came to respect the vast knowledge he had in the accounting field.  Often times he would try and explain things to me but because he knew it so well he would go through it so quickly that he would have to repeat it a few times.  His light heartedness made it such a blessing to work with him.  Although we didn’t always agree on things, we respected one another’s ideas and opinions.  He touched so many lives during his time here.

Guy was a beautiful soul whose life was taken far too soon and we miss him dearly.  He will always hold a special place in my heart for his kindness and friendship.  My deepest condolences to Cheryl and Guy’s family.  May the memories you created with Guy bring you peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Quietly brilliant with a great sense of humor. I learnt so much in the short period of working with Guy. We spent a good portion of our time solving complex models in his office and he would often gave me a different angle to think about. His sharp mind and great humor will be truly missed and my deepest condolences to his family.

I worked with Guy since joining the Housing Division almost 9 years ago.  Guy never failed to make me laugh with his quick, unexpected humour.  Well, unexpected in the way that you were never sure what was going to come out of his mouth; his jokes were definitely expected and he was sure to lighten the mood during any meeting or conversation.  Guy was a kind, thoughtful, and gentle soul and I will always remember him fondly.

I was fortunate to meet Guy when he started his employment with the Housing Division 11 years ago. Guy soon became a valued and supportive co-worker, and he was such a joy to have around. His personality and his crazy sense of humour was the best! He always found a way to add humour to any subject. I still walk by his workstation hoping to see his crazy post-it notes on his whiteboard. My sincere condolences to his partner and his family.  I wish you peace to bring you comfort, and much courage to face the days ahead.  Guy will be greatly missed, and the office will not be the same without him. I am so grateful to have known him and so thankful for the memories I have of him.

Guy was always a friendly presence in the office. He was a kind colleague, with a lighthearted personality, and I remember we would chat about various pop culture “geek” things, which seemed to come up especially during Halloween with his costumes he would show up with.  He will be truly missed by many.

I worked with Guy from the first day he joined Housing. He was a jolly good fellow and a great colleague. He will be greatly missed.

I worked with Guy from my first day at Seniors and then was on his team within 3 months. He gave such great support and was always quick with a joke. He was such a kind person and he cared about everyone he worked with. I loved his passion for participation and he was so incredible at all things, including trivia - Gun's N Roses forever Guy!

Working with Guy all these years was a blessing. He was such a great person with a good sense of humour. Always helpful in times of need. 

I hope the family finds a way to have some comfort at this difficult time.

I worked with Guy for over 11 years and he was an amazing person. His great attitude lightened up everyone's day and he was always fun to be around. He will be deeply missed.

My sincere condolences to the family. I only worked with Guy a short time, but it was clear that he was absolutely  brilliant and someone to rely on. We will never know why 'the good ones' go- my own struggle with loss has taught me not to ask 'why'. There is no good reason or no reason at all. But Guy was 'one of the good ones' and he left too soon.  He is dearly missed and my thoughts are with you.

I first met Guy when I joined the Housing Division as a young intern. Although I was never directly on his team, I worked closely with him throughout the years. I found myself often asking for advice early on which has stayed with me as I grew my career. What started as a work relationship blossomed into a friendship that shared many laughs over the years. His laugh was unique and one you could hear from a mile away.

I first met Guy through our shared workplace over at Housing, and it didn't take long for our connection to turn into a cherished friendship. The more I got to know him, the more I realized what an extraordinary person he was.  From exchanging ideas on uncovering exceptional value deals to engaging in conversations about motorbikes and sports cars, being in the presence of Guy was always a delightful experience.  His personality and sense of humor was a constant reminder to us all to embrace joy and laughter in every moment.
  
Beyond his wit and charm, Guy possessed a brilliant mind. His knowledge of accounting was unmatched at Housing, and he generously shared his expertise, teaching me the ins and outs of accounting.  We joked, telling everyone that I was designated and graduated from the Guy school of accounting.  

To Cheryl and Guy's family, I offer my unwavering support and sympathy. May you find comfort in the knowledge that he touched so many lives. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this painful time.

I will forever remember Guy's remarkable life and honor the profound impact he made on me. I will remember his wise words, reminding me to cherish loved ones, travel, laugh, work less, and live each day to its fullest.

Note however that this end is a temporary one, as our Creator Jehovah has purposed a bright future in which our dead loved ones will be resurrected to continue living on this earth in paradise conditions.    Guy would have read about that promise at John 5;28,29.  Trust God's word and look forward to the fulfillment.   Once again sincerest condolences.
