Florence was born on July 23, 1934 in Sunnybrook, Alberta to Kenneth and Fay (Voaklander) Trollope. She loved cats, doing crossword puzzles, playing the piano, listening to music, watching the Blue Jays, and travelling. She volunteered at the Alice Donahue Library and for the WHPS reading program. She valued education and as a working adult, completed a Bachelor of Arts from Athabasca University.
She is survived by husband Walter Krilyk, children Deanna Rabin and Ken Day (Darlene); grandchildren Scott Rabin (Charlene), Jeff Day (Courtney), Cara Day; step daughters Robin Krilyk and Kelly Stam; sister-in-law Pearl Day; and relatives from the Voaklander, Trollope, Hathaway, Day, and Simms families.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of the Long Term Care Unit of the Athabasca Health Centre who cared so much for Florence during the years she was with them. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Athabasca Health-Care Auxiliary Association, the Alzheimer Society, or the charity of one’s choice.
