Eileen was born in Calgary but spent her early life on the farm at Lashburn. Eileen was an only child but had many cousins nearby. Her schooling was at a one room rural school until grade 10 when she went into Lashburn, followed by Normal School in Saskatoon. She then taught in rural Saskatchewan. Eileen returned to Lashburn to marry and raise her two children, Cherry and Terry on the farm where she was raised.
Eileen was an active member of the order of Eastern Star. Northern Circle Homemakers and numerous other community organizations. During this time she also taught many how to play the piano.
She left Lashburn to live in Saskatoon, B.C., Lac La Biche and Edmonton.
Her love of travel took her to Hong Kong, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Egypt.
Eileen is lovingly remembered by her daughter Cherry (Barrie), son Terry (Shirley), grandchildren Nicole (James), Erin (Mike), Brin, Jason (Lucie) and Dylan, great-grandchildren Colin and Kaitlyn.
The family will have a small memorial service at a later date.
