1953 – 2024
With profound sadness and aching hearts we share the news of the unexpected passing of our beloved father, grandfather, father in law, brother, spouse, uncle and friend, Edward Andrews (E.P.O.). He passed away at home on Friday January 5, 2024 at age 70.
Predeceased by his son Kwame Andrews, nephew Frankie Beccles, parents Napoleon and Sarah Andrews.
Edward will be dearly missed by his daughter Sasha (Charles) Makai, Marley and Skylah Andrews-Vietz; son Dorian (Aimee) Aria, Dorian Jr. and Zaiden Andrews; daughter in law Nadia; Kingston and Neo Andrews; Mertella and the Montague Family, his sister Gifty (Patrick) Peter (Coretta) and Jason Kangoma; his sister Effie (Frank) Leon (Natalie), (Jolene) Aquaya and Angelle Beccles; his brother Eric (Doris) Edward Jr. Andrews; brother Divine Opoku; sister Vida Opoku; nephews Emannuel Abadji Corletey, Leslie Kwame Opoku; nieces Mercy Dede Wayo, Martha Forts, Elsie Opoku. The Akutei family in Somanya, Ghana.
Even though Edward was taken too soon, he lived an extraordinary life. He was a visionary, his influence was far reaching as he mentored and impacted countless people over the years. Edward placed great emphasis on maintaining strong family roots and was very involved with his family to ensure he left a legacy of “no Andrews will be left behind.”
Visitation to be held at Hainstock’s Funeral Home (9810 – 34 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB) Friday, January 19 from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M.
Funeral Service will be held at Hope City Church (2225 66 St NW, Edmonton, AB) Saturday January 20 11:00 A.M. In addition the service will be livestreamed- hopecity.ca/stream
Visitation available from 10:00 - 10:45 A.M.
Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery (1605 141 St SW, Edmonton, AB)
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 20 from 6:00 P.M. – 12:00 A.M. at the
Edmonton Oilfield Technical Society, 2104-156 Street SW, Edmonton, AB.
