Dylon coached my son Michael as a soccer goalie a few years back but his lessons live on. Michael looked up to Dylon and his approach was always kindness mixed with strength and a  strong belief that Michael was capable of more and better. He instilled such confidence in him. His voice lives on in all the athletes he has helped and inspired over the years. He will be so missed. Much love to you all. ❤️

Sending our most sincere condolences to Angela and Craig. Dylon played a big role in Ava’s development  as a keeper over the years through training with both Drillers and St. Albert Impact along with through his PK Academy from its start up.  Her love for the position and even just the training sessions with him was evident when she insisted on continuing the training even though her coaches had her playing wing. His big brother relationship with her  helped to find her confidence and that will always be treasured by us. Here’s a video of one of the last times she trained with him. My heart goes out to Dylan's loved ones, family and teammates. I had the pleasure of working with him  at FC Edmonton. As the team doctor I often had  a chance to get to know the athletes, their determination , and their individuality on the team, Dylan was kind,  determined hard working, and a positive influence on the team. He was a  pleasure to know  and I am very sad that he is gone so early in his life. Dylon was the ultimate competitor and a great friend. He was driven and intense, yet caring and unselfish. He gave his all to every job and every friendship. This is how I'll remember him.

They met through Juventus when they were young teens, and continued a beautiful friendship throughout the years.

Dylon, heaven just got another angel. You and your brother can now watch over your parents together.  Angela and Craig my heart breaks for you. This loss is immeasurable. Both Dylon and Nicholas were a treasure and will always be remembered.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dylon at our EVOC course for work. He was a ball of energy, had a sense of humour and was competitive! We made a bet that whomever had the slowest time on our final  run of the obstacle course would owe the other a Starbucks gift card. We ended up getting the exact same time on our runs, and the instructor called it a tie. 

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting your son, and knew that he had and was going to do great things in this world.  I am so sorry for your loss, he will be missed by so many.

While I had known the name Dylon Powley for years, it wasn’t until this past year that I truly started to get to know the man behind the name. 

We spent a quite a bit of time together this year from being the first two at the airport for National Camp to working together what seemed like every week on a League 1 or Major League game. He quickly became someone I was truly excited to work with and talk to. It was an honour to support him on the field as his AR and watch him interact with the top players in the province.  I learned so much from him especially about the men’s side of the game in the short time I spent with him. 

I couldn’t wait to grow and develop alongside him in the coming years as referees and as surprisingly fast friends. I am so heartbroken that won’t be the case anymore. He will be greatly missed by the soccer community as a whole and especially by the referee community.

I haven’t seen Dylon in years but I was in the soccer program with him at Vimy Ridge. I remember him as just a “kid”. Never hateful or rude. Always kind and always laughing.  I am in awe of all of his accomplishments. My heart aches deeply for his family and friends. His mother consoled me at school in 2009 when my father died and it’s a day I’ll never forget... To learn of his brother’s passing as well is something unfathomable. I can’t imagine what you’re going through but I’ve thought of Dylon every day since hearing of his passing.

I had only known Dylon for about a year when he started at the Leduc Detachment as a Community Peace Officer. 

When I first met Dylon I instantly liked the him. Dylon was confident, funny, and just an overall standup guy. 

It was truly a pleasure seeing Dylon at the office and working with him. I can say that for myself, I will greatly miss hearing  Dylon’s distinctive laugh around the office. 

I will always be grateful for the short time that I had with Dylon. He is already missed.

Dylon and my son played together off and on for the better part of 10 years on the same team. They were like brothers from other mothers! The many sleepovers and antics they had are memories I will cherish forever. I may not have seen you regularly but I watched all of your successes from a distance and felt the insane pride in you! You were an incredible human who made the world a better place! The heart attacks you gave us when you were halfway up the field instead of in net kept us on our toes but you never disappointed! You were a star and for whatever reason that I can not question, God had better plans for you and needed you more than we did! You will forever live on in your achievements and successes and live in our hearts! I will miss you my boy

Dylon, I can't find words to express my sorrow that you have been taken from us so soon. I have known you since you started refereeing and hope that I made a difference in your life. You certainly made a difference in mine! Through the first stages of CARD to nominating me in the ice bucket challenge to watching your professional career as a goalkeeper to welcoming you back to the referee program in 2023 - you showed a drive for excellence that I have never seen before. I worked for FCEDMONTON for 12 years. Last summer I spoke with Dylon at a St Albert L1 match. My son had recently passed away (July 2, 2023) by his own hand. Although it was hard for Dylon he came over to me to express his heartfelt condolences.  I was touched by his kindness and compassion.
I can only begin to understand the grief you must be feeling having lost 2 sons.

Dylon, I was fortunate enough to play on 3 different teams with you over the past 15 or so years. I have played with hundreds of players but I don't think I played with anyone who wanted to win more than you. You gave every single bit of effort you had in every game. If there was anyone that embodied wearing their on their sleeve, it was you.
You were always trying to make people laugh. It didn't matter if you were the butt of your own joke. If the room was laughing, you were happy. As a young kid at Vimy Ridge or as a young adult at my wedding last summer, you never failed to crack me up all the time.
Thank you for always having such a positive impact on my life.

You were the most inspirational coach in Avery’s time so far as a keeper. You had a way of training that made everyone just want more. A huge hole that is now left in the soccer community.
