Dylan Howard Demas, beloved son of Clare Smyth and Mark Demas and step-son of Brian Gale and Val Demas, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on February 3, 2016 while travelling in Australia. He was 22 years old. Dylan leaves behind a brother Nick, with whom he was very close, a stepsister, Alex, and a young sister, Erin, whom he loved dearly and spoiled incessantly. His two grandmothers also survive him. He was predeceased by both of his grandfathers, a cousin and a very special niece.
Dylan lived a full and vibrant life and had the ability to make an everlasting impression on all he associated with. He had an infectious smile that drew people in and made others want to be near him. He was a kind, thoughtful and generous person who made all that knew him feel special.
Dylan was an adventurous soul who loved to travel. On arriving in Australia in December he exuberantly declared, “this boy has finally found peace”. He has now returned to his Maker and truly has found that eternal peace we all seek. Dylan will forever be loved, cherished and joyfully remembered.
A service to remember and celebrate Dylan’s life will be held at North Pointe Church, 14025 167 Ave, Edmonton, Alberta on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. followed by a reception at the same location. All whose lives were touched by Dylan are welcome to attend.
