Blake Anthony Horace Betteridge was born on October 5, 1982 at the Charles Camsell Hospital in Edmonton.
Blake lived his entire life in Edmonton, but spent time in many parts of the world during his travel adventures. He loved to explore and experience other cultures, their art, and their people.
Blake is the only child of Candice and Bruce (Terri Chizen) Betteridge. Blake was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Georgina Der Fong Petherbridge and Fred Soo Der Fong, and his paternal grandparents, Donalda Cresswell and Bryan Betteridge. He was also predeceased by his maternal uncle, Jimmy Der Fong, and his paternal aunt, Cindy Laing.
Blake had a love for life! His motto was to Live an Interesting Life. He did. He was a dedicated, focused, and successful employee at Jobber. But most importantly, he was a dedicated and passionate artist - a musician, a recording artist, a visual art painter, and a builder of giant things to which he would bask is the glow of the burn. A spiritual person with a huge, generous heart and a deep sincere love for all those that knew him.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM MT on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Lago Lindo Community Hall, 17123 95 Street, Edmonton, Alberta.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Second Chance Animal Rescue (SCARs) at PO Box 3045, Athabasca, Alberta T9S 2B9, scarscare.ca
