It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barry Lloyd Sinclair son of Lloyd and Verna Sinclair. The death occurred suddenly on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at the age of 70 years. Barry will be affectionately remembered with love by his wife of over 30 years Peggy Sinclair, mother Verna Huck, son Jodi Sinclair (Deanna) and grandsons Nolan Sinclair and Evan Sinclair, his daughter Krystal Mayne and grand daughters’ Breanna Sinclair and Lilly Mayne, his youngest daughter Kelsey Sinclair (Ken), brother Kevin (Karen) Sinclair, sister Kellie (Pat) Corkish, brother-in-law Larry Deitsch, nephew Traci Deitsch, niece RaeAnn (Richard) Lemire, nephew Trevor (Julie) Deitsch, niece Robynn Corkish (Ryan), nephew Chad Corkish, niece Brandyn Sinclair (Riley) nephew Brett Sinclair (Kathryn), niece Bailey Ironside (Avery), and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his father Lloyd Sinclair, his sister Barb Deitsch and step-father Charlie Huck.
Barry was born in Rosetown, Saskatchewan on April 26, 1952 and raised on the family homestead. He grew up working on the family homestead and spent his free time surrounded by friends and family; playing hockey and baseball in the local community before moving to Calgary. Barry discovered a deep connection to heavy equipment working in and around Calgary before moving to Edmonton and spent most of his remaining career building highways all over the province of Alberta.
Barry absolutely loved his family and friends. He was sincerely respected by his colleagues in the construction industry for over 50 years. He was known for his quick and clever jokes, fast cars, pickup trucks and his love for baseball and sports.
A celebration of his life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Parkinson’s Canada at https://www.parkinson.ca/getinvolved/waystogive. Barry will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Rest In Peace.
