Left to mourn his loss are his loving wife of 63 years, Elvira/Ellie; children, Dianne (Roy) and Rick (Christine); grandchildren, Ashley (Chris), Ryan and Jordan and his much-loved great-grandchildren, Adalynn, Avery and Austin.

He is also survived by his sister Edith (Art), brothers Harry (Yvonne) and Helmut (Marcelle), along with nephews, nieces, relatives and many close friends.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Hainstock’s Funeral Home, 9810 34 Ave.

Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Alfred’s service streamed live at https://view.oneroomstreaming.com/authorise.php?k=1648256676174832 on the day of the service.

For those unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made in Alfred’s honour may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
