She was the youngest of 4 siblings born to Harry M. and Elsie A. (Miller). Sue was the last surviving sibling. She spent her younger years growing up in Waurika and Ada, Oklahoma. She graduated from Fitzhugh High School in 1955, and upon graduation, she attended Draughon Business School.
Sue was lucky enough to meet and marry the love of her life Johnie Willy McNair Jr., on October 13, 1956. They had one son, Todd Michael, in September of ‘76. They were very happily married for 27 years until Johnie sadly prematurely passed away in June of 1983. They were reunited again last Sunday, May 1, 2022.
Sue entered the legal profession in 1958 and worked in that field for 35+ years. She enjoyed working many of those years for her beloved boss, the late B.E. Bill Harkey as a Paralegal. In 1994, she decided to change her career path and became a Realtor. Sue officially retired in 2020. She was affiliated with Churchill Brown & Associates for most of her career and with Chinowth & Cohen Realtors for the last few years.
Sue lived a blessed life, and she sure loved and doted on her family. She enjoyed spending time and her long talks with her grandchildren. We will never forget our Sunday night family meals as they were hers and our favorite activity of the week. She was tender-hearted and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was always ready to introduce a stimulating discussion, whether in politics or her beliefs and if you disagreed with her, she was quick to let you know you were wrong.
She was preceded in death by her parents “Mama and Papa Miller,”; husband, Johnie;
brother Bill Miller; and two sisters, Edna and Mary; nephews, Bill Miller Jr and Odus Hennessey; and niece, Marilyn Hennessey.
She is survived by her only son Todd and his wife Kari; grandsons, Jonathon, Craig, and Matt; all her nieces and their families: Shirley Orman, Kay Howard, Lisa Mills, Shenista Furman, and Kathy Sharp; as well as many more great-nieces and nephews.
We will all carry Sue's memories in our hearts.
