Tony graduated from Edmond Memorial High School in 1986. Shortly after high school he met the love of his life, Amy Larsen. They married in 1989, made their home in Edmond where they raised four amazing children: Bryce, Andrew, Zachary, and Rebecca.
Tony worked for Johnnie’s Charcoal Broiler from age 15 until he graduated college in 1995. After graduating, he began his career as an accountant working for John M. Arledge & Associates. He quickly realized the long hours of a public accountant were not conducive to being a dedicated father, and in 1997 joined the Oklahoma City-County Health Department where he worked until his death.
This career choice helped him realize his true calling: coaching his kids and being an amazing dad. He spent many years coaching little Pelicans, Indians, Astros, Twisters, Rangers, Mariners, and Pirates in baseball. Between baseball seasons, he managed several basketball teams too. As the kids grew older and no longer needed him as much, he chased his hobby of golf. What started as an every Friday work golf group evolved into finding his golf kindred spirit and playing 3-4, or often more, rounds of golf per week. In March he was able to accomplish his 3rd hole-in-one at River Oaks Golf Club.
Survivors include his wife, Amy of the home; son and spouse, Bryce and Ashley Miller of Guthrie; son Andrew Miller of Guthrie; son Zachary Miller of Guthrie; daughter and significant other Rebecca Miller and Kevin Kirkendoll of Weatherford; parents Richard and Phyllis Miller of Edmond; 2 granddaughters Isla and Evelyn; brother Rich.
While Tony was slow to allow others in, once you were his friend, you were always his friend. He is gone too soon and will be sorely missed by all.
