Sydney graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1958 and moved to Edmond in 1972, where she spent many happy years. She had a deep love for old country music and Elvis Presley, and her perfect day often included driving through the countryside with her beloved husband, Jim, in their convertible.
Family was the cornerstone of Sydney's life. She cherished gatherings with her loved ones and took great pride in teaching her children the values of kindness, patience, and care. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and her love for Jim, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren knew no bounds.
Sydney is preceded in death by her two late husbands, Harold Stokes and Larry Sanders and brother Teddy Cox, and fur babies Brandy and Bear.
Sydney is survived by her husband Jim of the home, daughters, Lisa Markus and husband Joe of Kingfisher, Oklahoma, Kelly Brown of Edmond, Oklahoma and son, Larry Sanders II and wife Gina of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her bonus children, Chris Gard and wife Cathy of Crescent, Oklahoma and Stephanie Gard of Parker, Colorado. She is also survived by sister, LuAnn Albright and husband George of North Carolina, twelve grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the ladies from First Light Home Care for their wonderful care for Sydney
