He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business in 1994. He married Kirsten, a special education teacher, on April 25, 1998. Brian passed away on March 17, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 52.
Brian began working on a roofing crew on his seventeenth birthday and continued working in the roofing business through high school. While in college, he started his own roofing company that evolved into Land Enterprises Roofing.
Brian and Kirsten were married for almost 21 years. She was his wife, best friend, and business partner. Brian cherished Kirsten, and was an incredible husband and father to their two sons, Daniel age 12 and Evan age 10. He was devoted to helping them pursue their interests, including building a garden with Daniel and coaching Evan’s basketball team.
Brian put God first and his family second. Family was incredibly important to him. Brian loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; his family; his dogs that he had throughout the years, especially his beloved Boo; and Oklahoma State University. He was a successful business owner, loved by all of his employees. Brian never met a stranger. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make others laugh. He was involved in multiple networking groups and loved attending networking events. He was a business mentor to many. Brian was a natural born leader that people loved to be around.
Brian was a man of integrity who honored the Lord in every area of his life. He was so good at so many things, but most of all, he loved people well and made everyone feel special. He saw the gifts that people had and encouraged others to walk in their natural gifts and abilities. He loved people with God’s love, and that is what people will remember Brian for most of all. Brian will be greatly missed by his wife, children, mother, brothers, cousins, aunts and uncles, father-in-law, and the rest of his family, as well as all of the people who knew him as a boss, mentor, brother and friend.
Brian is survived by his wife, Kirsten; sons, Daniel and Evan; mother, Mary Land; brother, Greg Land and his wife Sharee; brother, Gary Land and his wife Ann; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
