Barbara Jo Hancock “Bobbie” passed away Friday, November 25, 2011 in Oklahoma City after an extended illness. She resided in Edmond, Oklahoma since the late 80’s. Bobbie was born in Los Angeles, California on October 10, 1938 and later moved to Oklahoma. Bobbie never married or had children; however, she had many furry friends throughout her life, cats which she loved dearly. Bobbie graduated from Beaver High School and attended Oklahoma University where she received her Bachelor’s degree. She became a physical therapist and worked at the old Mercy Hospital where she excelled in her field for over 20 years. She continued to work by operating her own business in sales for over 30 years. Bobbie is survived by two brothers, Jerry C. Hancock of Oklahoma City and Stanley R. Hancock of Colorado, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will be laid to rest in Pioneer Cemetery where she will be with her mother and father, Mary and Leroy Hancock. Graveside services, officiated by Minister Rick Main will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Pioneer Cemetery in Beaver, Oklahoma.
