Anna Irene Williams, age 83, died Friday, June 25, 2010 at her residence. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Ecru with Rev. Clay Farr and Rev. Clifton Waldron officiating, burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery in Union County. Browning Funeral Home in Ecru is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her nine daughters: Elaine Bishop (George) and Diane Bishop (David) both of Oxford, MS, Vicky Bishop (Dan) of Thaxton, MS, Sue Perkins (William) of Etta, MS, Nancy Johnson (Ricky) and Peggy Moody (Glen) both of New Albany, MS, Cindy Messer (Gary) of Myrtle, MS, Wendy Waldron (Allen) of Thaxton, MS and Janis Huffstickler (Wayne) of Etta, MS; her four sons: Roger Williams of Etta, MS, David Williams (Sherri) of New Albany, MS, Ricky Williams (Sherry) of Thaxton, MS and Darren Williams (Marilyn) of Etta, MS;two brothers: Sandy Ward and Luther Ward both of GA; 26 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: William David Ward and Mary Elizabeth Burke Ward; her husband: Hoy Williams, and a daughter: Melissa Williams, three sisters: Minnie Mae Wofford, Anna Lou Hill and Sue Ward and three brothers: Enoch Ward and Robert Ward.
Pallbearers will be: Chris Waldron, Derek Waldron, Taylor Leifheit, Lee Williams, Eric Perkins, Wade Bishop, Chris Bishop, Brian Denny and Blake Jackson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 PM Saturday and from 12 to 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
