Raymond Robert Counterman Sr.

Born on September 26, 1949 in East Stroudsburg, PA, he was the son to the late Charles H. Counterman and Pauline L. (Kibber) Counterman .

Raymond loved to spend his time hunting and fishing. He also loved to drink his favorite beer “ Busch Light”. He enjoyed listening to Country music. Raymond was married to his beloved wife Kathleen Counterman for 41 years. He enjoyed spending time with his children, and grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife Kathleen Counterman, of Bushkill; his four children: Melissa Samler, of Syndersville; Raymond Counterman Jr; Irene Counterman, of Mt. Bethel; and Tammy Frable, of Beltsville; his twelve grand children: Kodi Picard, Michael Knowles, Michael Samler Jr., Makenna Samler, Makayla Samler, Hannah Meeker, Cyndle Counterman, Wynonna Counterman, Raymond Counterman III, Faith Knowles, Melissa Counterman, Jonathon Frable, Alicia Frable; and a great grandchild on his way Bryce Frable; and several nieces and nephews; two brothers: Vernon Kibbler and Lester Counterman; two sisters: Donna Counterman and Debra Counterman.

Predeceased are his three brothers, Carl, Claude, and Clair Counterman.

There will be a visitation at Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg on Thursday, December 9, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Services will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Tim Gilbertsen officiating. Burial will follow service at Cherry Valley United Methodist Cemetery in Stroudsburg, PA.
