He was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, TN. He was in the financial and mortgage industry for most of his life. He loved his family, Alabama football, classic movies, golf, memorabilia collecting, and the beach.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Erskel M. and Willa D. (Hinds) Rooks.
He is survived by his five children, Thomas M. Rooks, Jr., Daniel (Tracy)Rooks, John Scott Rooks, Amy (Jerry) Smith, and Christopher (Kaylan) Rooks; his four grandchildren, Evan M. Rooks, Savannah “Abbey” Smith, Connor E. Rooks and Josh Barnett; his four siblings, Ronald C. Rooks, E. Allen Rooks, Sharon Stevens, and Vickie (John) Dickerson and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced by the family.
