Robert Lee “Bob” Frye, 79, of East Ridge passed away Friday, November 5, 2021 in a local hospital. He was a graduate of Kirkman Technical High School Class of 1961 and was very active in their sports program. Bob had worked for Singer Cobble as a Master Machinist and retired from Eureka Foundry, having been President of the GMP Union for both companies. He was a wonderful softball, basketball, volleyball and football coach.
Bob was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Frye.
Survivors include his wife, Denise Laub Frye; daughters, Rhonda Wolff (Gary) and Stephanie Allen; one grandson, Robert “Bobby” Frye (Meagan); four sisters, Mary Pendergrass, Judy Whisenant, Ruth Frye and Helen Smith; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road. The family will receive friends from 11 AM to 1 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
