Mary Beatrice Goggins

She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and her husbands, Clarence L. Bailey, and Preston Goggins;

She is survived by her daughter, Darla Brock of Nashville; her granddaughter, Jennifer Judkins of Nashville; her grandson, David (Erin) Brock, Jr., of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; her sister, Frances McPherson of Chattanooga, 6 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She is a graduate of Rossville High School in Rossville, GA. She was a longtime day-care teacher, Sunday school teacher at East Ridge Baptist Church, and teacher’s aide with Hamilton County School System. She was a longtime member of Crosspath Church, formerly East Ridge Baptist Church.

The family would like to thank her Nashville care team: NHC Homecare, Caris Hospice, and Dr. William Sullivan for their compassionate and dedicated care.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Chattanooga Funeral Home-East Chapel with Rev. Paul Peak officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 am to 1 PM on Wednesday, April 6, at the funeral home prior to services. She will be laid to rest in the Lakewood Memory Gardens South in Rossville, GA.
