Mark E. Doub Sr.

Mr. Doub was born June 5, 1917 in Dunlap, TN to C. J. and Nellie Marshall Doub. He moved at a young age to Ooltewah, TN where he lived until he joined the military and was an Aviator in the Army Air Corps in WWII. He worked for Combustion Engineering as a Project Engineer for 35 years. He was a longtime member of OLPH Catholic Church, Disabled American Veteran, Retired Aviator Club and AFNDA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Manning Doub; siblings, John Doub, Sarah Cate Doub, Doris Doub Garavaglia and Roberta Doub.

Surviving are his children, Gene (Trisha) Doub of Oklahoma City, OK, David (Libby) Doub of Estill Springs, TN, Bobby (Jerry) Doub, Mona (Bill) Hines and John (Carla) Doub, all of Chattanooga; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.

A Funeral Mass will be at 10 AM on Monday, March 18, 2013 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Mike Creson officiating.

Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Arthritis Foundation. .
