Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Eva Simmons; sister, Dora Simmons; brother, L. Tillman (LT) Simmons; and niece, Susan S. Lane.
She worshiped the risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at Central Church of Christ.
Retired from American National Bank (Truist) as Head Cashier at the main branch, was a member of the Chattanooga Orchid Society and a Pillsbury Bake-Off winner on numerous occasions.
Service will be held at East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 S. Moore Road, East Ridge, TN 37412; on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 2 PM with Minister David Schonhoff officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service. A private burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Gardens East in Chattanooga, TN.
