She was a graduate of Red Bank High School Class of 1954. Laura worked for the City of Chattanooga in the Human Resources Department and retired in 1991. She was a member of Frawley Baptist Church. Laura was also a member of the Sassy Seniors Dance Group. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Guy Campbell, Jr., parents, Thomas James and Pauline Fairies Dutton, and a sister, Diane D. Beck.
Left behind to cherish Laura’s memory are her children, Ernest Guy (Tina) Campbell III, and Audry (Jerry) Ensley, grandchildren, Ernest Guy “Quade” Campbell IV, Garrett Campbell, Amy Ensley, and Aly Ensley, great-grandchildren, Jace, Beau, Daisy May, and Ernest Guy “Linc” Campbell V, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Laura’s life will be held graveside in the Chattanooga Memorial Park on Friday November 13, 2020 at 11:00 am with Ross Andrews officiating. The family will receive friends at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Thursday November 12, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
We respectfully request that all current mandates set forth by the CDC and the Hamilton County Health Department be adhered to. This includes “social distancing” and wearing masks at all times while on the premises.
