He was born on October 10, 1957 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Robert Lee Dixon and Sarah ("Betsy") Elizabeth Tanner. He spent most of his life in North Carolina and the Chattanooga area.
Kenny graduated from Red Bank High School in 1976. He joined the Army and was a paratrooper in the Core of Engineers and earned the rank of Captain. After the Army, he began a life of home renovations and rural homesteading near Salisbury, NC. He could fix anything!
He was a wonderful, son, brother, father, and friend. He is survived by his daughter, Emily Ramos; mother, Betsy Tanner; brother, Bob Dixon; sister, Beth Dixon; many loving family members, and nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery on October 18, 2024, at 1 p.m.
A Celebration of Life will be held at his home on October 18, 2024, at 5 p.m. at 3152 Waterfront Dr., Chattanooga, TN 37419. Family and friends are welcome!
