Juanita (Mitchell) White

Juanita was a devoted wife and mother and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a dedicated Christian and active in the Kenner Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Kenner, LA, and the Battlefield Community Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Rossville, GA. Juanita enjoyed travelling and the beauty of God’s creations. She loved tending to her garden.

Juanita was born on January 19, 1934, in New Orleans, LA, to Joseph and Antonia Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Gloria Garcia, Lillian Davidson, Cherrie James, Josephine Keller, and Milton Mitchell.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Warren White, Sr.; her children, Rosalind (Kenneth, Sr.) Bordere, Warren (Diedri) White, Jr., Denise Trepagnier, Eric White, and Shawn (Blanca) White, Sr.; her grandchildren, Kenneth Bordere, Jr., Terrance Bordere, Jessica White, Sarah Weber, Abigail White, Blair Trepagnier, Mason Trepagnier, and Shawn White, Jr.; 6 great-grandchildren; one brother, Jerry Mitchell; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Chattanooga Funeral Home East Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at the funeral home with Pastor Justin Childers officiating. A burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga.
