Mrs. Smith was born in Monroe, LA and raised in Chattanooga. She was a graduate of Brainerd High School Class of 1973, retired from TVA and a member of Brainerd Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanette Deacon and sister, Phyllis Deacon.
Surviving are her husband, David Smith; daughter, Hillary West; son, Chris (Kim) Smith; granddaughter, Kayleigh; father and step-mother, Wayne and Jean Deacon, Sr.; brother, Wayne (Kelly) Deacon, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews that she loved.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the funeral home with additional visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
Memorial donations may be made to Brainerd Baptist Church.
