Jack Erwin Dixon, 86, of Chattanooga passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020. He was a member of Newnan Springs United Methodist Church, the Friendship Sunday School Class and United Methodist Men. Jack was retired from Lockwood Greene Engineering as an architect after 25 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Margaret Hearn Dixon; parents, Sherman Allen and Willie Mae Black Dixon; two brothers, Frank Dixon and Dan Dixon; one sister, Carolyn Smith.
Survivors include two daughters, Jacquelyn Dixon Repass and Gloria Dixon (Stanley) Outland; two grandchildren, Matthew Erwin (Anna) Repass and Lucas Kevin (Hayley) Repass; three great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Sullivan and Hendrix; two sisters, Nancy Anderson and Ellen (John) Mooneyham; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 4 PM Sunday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Randall Massengill and the Rev. Jim Elder officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Clarkesville, Georgia at 1 PM on Tuesday, June 23.
