She was preceded in death by her husband L. Bruce Cook; her mother and father,Reverend Samuel and Mary Peak; three brothers and four sisters.
Her long business career included serving as executive secretary to the president and board of American National Bank and continuing after the merger with Sun Trust Bank. She retired after 28 years of service.
She was a member of the Northside Presbyterian Church, attending the Archer-Harris Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her step-son, Leroy Cook and his wife, Peggy; a step-grandson, Michael Cook and his wife Pam; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Chaplain Ricky Vaughn officiating.
The family will receive friends at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 from 4-6.
