Frank R Sawyers

Frank was born in Nashville, but spent most of his life in Chattanooga, TN. He was a graduate of Brainerd High School class of 1964. Frank was a devoted father and cherished the time spent with his son, Cody Sawyers. He could always be found enthusiastically cheering on the sideline of any sporting event. Frank was an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan, and you could say with confidence that he bled orange. Frank was the king of small talk and never met a stranger. He could talk to anybody about anything at any time.

He retired from Supply Technologies after 26 years, where he was a top sales executive. He was driven to succeed and devoted to his customers. He emphasized building relationships that often evolved into lasting friendships.

He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Lorena Sawyers.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law whom he loved dearly, Cody and Meghan Sawyers; his friend and former wife of 34 years, Tammy Sawyers; his beloved sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Joe Van Winkle; and several nieces and nephews. Frank also had a host of close friends that he thought of as family.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Chattanooga Funeral Home - East Chapel, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, TN 37412. Burial will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the BBS Buccaneer Fund or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
