Drennon was born and raised in Jackson County, Alabama. He moved to Chattanooga as a teenager, and later was the General Manager of Bennett Motor Express until retiring in 2014. He was previously employed at Astec Transportation. Drennon was an avid drag racer and in 1998 set a track record at Brainerd Optimist Drag Strip.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Evelyn Hall; and brother, Billy Hall.
Surviving are his daughter, Stacey (Chuck) Hewitt of Ringgold, GA; son, Wayne (Shelley) Hall of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Amber (Jonathan) Cope, Ashley (Brittany) Hewitt and Eli Hall; great-grandchildren, Catie Beth and Maddux; sister, Faye Nell (Winston) Wilks; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at the funeral home.
All funeral services will be private.
