She was born on Christmas Day in Tracy City, Tn, to William Henry Garner and Ora Estelle Overturf. She was the last surviving of the fifteen Garner children. Affectionately known as “Aunt Carolyn”, she was a reliable birthday card sender to her many nieces, nephews, and their children.
She worked through multiple contractors for many years at Volunteer Army Ammunition Plant, retiring under ICI. She was a dedicated member at East Ridge Church of Christ, and her strong alto singing will be missed.
She is survived by her only son, Paul (Michaele) and her beloved granddaughter, Erika Hughes.
There will be no public funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the East Ridge Church of Christ Benevolent fund.
