He graduated from Lakeview High School in 1964. Buddy was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
In his younger days, he was active in East Ridge Youth Sports Organizations and coaching his son. He spent most of his adult life driving a tractor trailer for General Oil, U.S. Pipe, and Danube Carpet. After retirement, he spent most of his days at the ballfields watching his beloved grandchildren play ball.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Orbie White and Edna Crockett, and in-laws, Jim and Estelle Lawson.
Left behind to cherish Buddy’s memory are his wife of 54 years, Frances Lawson White, his son, Houston White, his grandson, Kyle, and Kyle’s mother, Jenn Boland with whom Buddy saw more as a daughter, his grandchildren, Allie and Bo and their mother, Kendall, step-grandchildren, Savannah Hayes, KK and Scout Rawlston, sisters, Mildred (Charles) Atkins and Melba (Tim) McCorkel, special niece, Yvonne (Bud) Arms, many more nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
A Celebration of Buddy’s Life will be held graveside in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens on Saturday January 2, 2021 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home prior to the service starting at 12:30 pm.
We respectfully request that all current mandates set forth by the CDC and the Hamilton County Health Department be adhered to. This includes “social distancing” and wearing masks at all times while on the premises.
