Buddy Jones

Buddy was born on May 28, 1941 to the late Victor and Nellie Jones. He was a 1959 graduate of Central High School. He was an employee of the Ernest Holmes Corporation for 23 years, working until the company closed in the early 80s. The remainder of his career was spent as Superintendent of Operations with Siskin Steel, until his retirement in 2007.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Nell Ruth Black, June Jackson, and Betty Kennedy.

Buddy is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife of 52 years, Rebecca "Becky" Jones; son, Rodney Jones, with whom he shared a love of cars; and daughter-in-law, Tracy Jones.

Other survivors include brother, Johnny W. Jones; sisters, Doris Wilkinson and Pat Gardner; brother-in-law, Jack Wallace; sister-in-law, Nancy Hatton and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Hearth Hospice for their compassionate and caring hearts.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the funeral home with Minister Jim Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 to 8 PM and Tuesday from 12 Noon to 1 PM at the funeral home.
