Barbara Ann Booth

She was born on May 2, 1937 to the late Joe and Ruth Hearn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Booth; brother, Richard Hearn; and nephew, Kelly Hearn.

Barbara was a very generous person and it was evident in how she lived her life. In her early years, Barbara was a social worker for Chattanooga Community Action Program. She was a long-time volunteer with Salvation Army Tunic and was always donating to organizations for the blind. Everything she had (time, talents, resources) she gave to others. Barbara was always remembering and celebrating special occasions. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her brothers, Joseph Wayne Hearn, Sid (Teresa) Hearn; niece, Kimberly Ann Hendricks; nephews, Daniel and Ian Hearn; great-nieces, Halli, Petra and Nara Hearn.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday, March 30, 2023 in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, March 30, 2023 in the East Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.

In honor of Barbara, memorial contributions may be made to the Tennessee School for the Blind, 115 Stewarts Ferry Pike, Nashville, Tennessee 37214.
