Richard Ellis

Richard was born May 13, 1952 in Peoria, the son of Thurman & Mary (Craig) Ellis. He married his soul mate and best friend of 19 yearsMargaret M. Burns October 10, 2010 in Las Vegas. She survives.

He is also survived by two daughters, Jamie (Fred) Fryman, and Jennifer (Craig) Fryman both of Pekin; one son Paul (Lynn) Burns of Pekin; one sister Kay Ellis of Morton; one niece Melissa Arrowood of East Peoria; one nephew Thurmen Ellis of East Peoria; and seven grandchildren.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents; one sister Vicki Ellis; and one brother Roger Ellis.

He was an avid Rams and Cardinals fan.

Richard was the owner operator of Discount Rent to Own until 2008.

The family would like to extend a word of thanks to Joe and Mary for all the support they gave Richard throughout his life.

Cremation rites will be accorded.

A Celebration of Life will be at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday December 8, 2012 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria.Visitation will be two hours prior to services. After services there will be a gathering for friends and family at theEagle Lodge on Derby Street in Pekin.
