Peggy A. Childs

She was born on August 10, 1935 in Harrisburg, IL to Pete and Mae Meacham. She married Charles David Childs on August 1, 1952 in Harrisburg, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

Surviving are her husband, Charles of Morton, three children, William David (Michelle) Childs, Vickie Ann (Jerry) Schumm and Richard Lee Childs, ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Peggy was the owner and operator of Peg’s Corner in Peoria for many years. She was an avid glass collector and Antique Dealer, operating a booth at the Pleasant Hill Antique Mall with her husband Charles.

Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. The Rev. Tom Miller will officiate.
