Born December 29, 1928 in Peoria, IL to Harvey and Mary (Goble) Kreps; she married John Riley on October 1, 1950 in Sunnyland. He survives.
Also surviving are her children, Debra (Chuck) Morgan and Suzan Riley, all of East Peoria; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, Lucille and Lillian; and her brother, Harvey.
Jean was a kind and giving woman; sharing of her time and talent to enrich the lives of others through teaching Sunday and Bible School, providing a dish of food to bereaved neighbors, crafting with seniors in nursing homes, playing games and socializing, square dancing and clogging with John or her annual shopping trip with Debbie to the flea markets of Shipshewana, IN.
She was a member and Elder of the East Peoria Mennonite Church where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, November 30, 2018 with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Kim Litwiller will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in rural Morton.
