Marvin was born October 5, 1948 in Redlands , CA to Kenneth and Audrey (Dodson) Taylor. He married Linda L. Smith on September 5, 1981 in East Peoria. She preceded him in death on December 3, 2009. Also preceding him in death was his parents, one sister and three brothers.
Surviving are his two daughters, Amy Taylor and Amanda Taylor both of Creve Coeur, one granddaughter, Aubree Taylor and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Marvin worked as a Mechanical Technician for Keystone Steel and Wire for over 40 years retiring in 2014. He was a past member of the former Lighthouse Church and Eastside Church, as well as a member of I.S.W.A. Steel workers union. Marvin enjoyed music and playing his trombone. He also enjoyed vegetable gardening, working on cars, watching car shows and helping around the Leisure Oaks campgrounds. He will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather, who loved spending time with his family and friends.
A funeral service will be at 11 am on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Remmert Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Roberts Cemetery in Morton.
