John Earl Street Sr.

He was born on August 5, 1965 in Peoria, IL to Earl and Mary (Lee) Millsaps. They preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his sisters: Shirley MIllsaps, Kathy Thomas, and Marlene Thompson; one niece, Molly Brandenberg, and two nephews, Shawn and Jerry Thompson.

Surviving are his two children, John E. Street Jr of Peoria and Madysen Street of Peoria Heights and his beloved dog, Duke. Also surviving are two nieces, Sarah Marlene (Brandon) Knapp and Angie (Jim) Bullard both of Washington; and several other extended family.

John worked as a Waiter at Steak and Shake in East Peoria for over 33 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, riding his Kawasaki motorcycle, grilling out, and spending time with his loved ones. He also enjoyed listening to KISS, AC/DC and cheering on his Chicago Cubs. He will be remembered for his caring heart, great sense of humor and warm smile.

A visitation will be on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 5 to 7 pm at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. A funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 5, 2023 with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service and a burial of the urn will be at a later date at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
