East Peoria – Jesse J. Frazee, 94, of East Peoria, IL passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Fondulac Rehabilitation and Health Center. He was born January 28, 1922 in Bartonville, IL to Loren and Dollie (Moss) Frazee. He married Betty Cage in 1942. She precedes him in death. Jesse later married Alice Meurn in 1974. She also precedes him in death. Surviving are: his children; Suzan (Michael) Taylor of East Peoria, Jack Frazee of Omaha, NB, Ned (Kay) Frazee of Peoria, Mike Frazee of Morton, and Joe (Linda) Frazee of Lincoln, step-daughter Alice Schroen of Washington, thirteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Jesse was also preceded in death by his parents, his son Timothy, step-son Carl Meurn, four grandchildren, three brothers, and three sisters. Jesse was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II in the South Pacific. After his time in the service, Jesse worked as a machine operator at Keystone Steel and Wire for over twenty-five years retiring in 1987. His hobbies and interests included luxury cars, fishing with his children, Chicago Cubs baseball, ice tea, and spending time with family and friends. Jesse was a pitcher for Peoria’s All City Baseball team in the late forty’s. Services will be held at 1:30 pm Friday, January 6, 2017 at Remmert Funeral Home.
