Irma Jean Stephenson, 98, of East Peoria, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in Peoria.
She was born October 22, 1922 in East St. Louis, IL to Otto and Laura (Smith) Ballard. They preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were five brothers, Floyd, Donald, Lloyd, Marvin and Robert Ballard; and one sister Noma Patterson.
Surviving are her two children, Sandra (Veirl) Wilson of Peoria and Jim (Laura) Kaufman of East Peoria. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Irma worked as a supervisor at Foster and Gallagher for many years retiring in 1982.
A funeral service will be on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 2:00 pm with visitation one hour prior to the service at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Entombment will be at American Mausoleum in Peoria.
