Doris A. Lange

She was born Dec. 9, 1928 in Questa, N.M. to Flavis and Effie (Allison) McConaha. She first married Gene Pittman on Feb. 11, 1947 in Creve Coeur. He passed away August 1998 in Indiana. She later married Harry Lange on Feb. 29, 1964 on Creve Coeur. He passed away Jan. 20, 1971 in Creve Coeur. She is also preceded in death by her parents, two daughters: Linda Turner, Effie Johnson, one grandson, Edward J. Turner, Jr, one granddaughter, Effie Brant, one great-granddaughter, Brittney Pittman, and 22 brothers and sisters: Herbert Kenney, James Kenney, Earl Kenney, Ervin Kenney, Charles Kenney, Lester Kenney, James Kenney, Clara Kenney, Eva Kenney, Lillian Jester, Mary McConaha, Lucille Jester, David Jester, Robert Jester, Roy E. Jester, Frank McConaha, Thelbert McConaha, Don McConaha, Lee McConaha, David McConaha, Wilma McConaha, Frida McConaha.

Survivors include one son, Bud (Berta) Pittman of Creve Coeur, one daughter, Melinda Lange of East Peoria, eight grandchildren: DJ, Dinky Mae, Betty Jean, Bonnie, Jeremiah, Rachel, Brandy, Faith, 19 great-grandchildren: Jessica, Braden, Makylah, Tyler “Tater”, Shylynn “Dimples”, Drake “Duck” Kylee, Brandon, Dareus, Gavin, Aiden, Nicole, Cody, Bella, Talinda, Anna, Kristen, Dominic, and Avary. She is also survived by nine great-great-grandchildren: Linda, James, Devon, Dean, Harlow, Layla, Kayden, Lillian, and Kohen.

Doris first was an LPN at OSF St Francis Hospital during the 1940’s. Later she worked for Ideal Troy Dry Cleaners in Peoria, then last working at the Trading Post in Creve Coeur.

She loved to draw, read, gardening, fishing, and spending time with her family. She enjoyed traveling the United States with her family.

Funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 22, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.

Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
