Born Feb. 7, 1931 in Peoria to John R. and Velma L. (Bernius) Calhoon. She married Clarence L. Davis in East Peoria on Feb. 22, 1948. He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Dennis L. (Donna) of Normal, Gary A. of AZ, Gregory E. (Wendy S.) of Pekin; 6 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Doris graduated from East Peoria High School. She was a Chicago Cubs fan and liked to travel, play the piano, and spend time with her family, friends, and dogs. She was a member of Bethany Missionary Church in East Peoria.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10, 2010 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be one hour before services Friday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
