She was born on Jan 20, 1932 to Howard and Lola (Hefner) Keil. She joins all who loved her and were awaiting her arrival, her parents, sister Marilyn (Keil) Stapleton, beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Surviving are her six boys, Stephen (Pamela) Wicks of Batavia, IL; Marc (Patricia) Wicks of Cape Girardeau, MO; Scott (Carol) Wicks of Yorkville, IL; Kevin (Christine) Wicks of Stoutsville, MO; Kent (Shanon) Wicks of Bradenton, FL and Christopher Wicks of Sycamore, IL. Fourteen grandchildren: Amy, Bradford, Rebecca, David, Joshua, Jason, Dustin, Megan, Alexander, Bryan, Melissa, Adam, Jacob, and Noah. Five great grandchildren: Zoey, Caden, Olivia, Madeline, Forester; and a multitude of extended family and friends. She was indeed the foundation of our family and will continue to be with us every day in our thoughts, our memories, and our prayers. All will remember her unique wit and wisdom. All will remember her strength and her pride. Many will remember her from her work days at H. C. Storm School in Batavia and from her time at The Merra-Lee Shops in Geneva. But she is most remembered as the matriarch of her large, loving, and growing family who each, in their own way, will carry her spirit and tenacity as they journey through this earthly life.
Time has ceased
But cherished memories still linger
This is the way of life and all things
We shall meet again
You are only sleeping
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria, IL.
