Amanda Imogene Brown

She was born Jan. 19, 1953 in Thayer, MO to Wesley and May Lorene (Bowers) Ragan. She married Bruce Brown on May 30, 1971 in Peoria Heights. She leaves behind her husband of 50 years, Bruce Brown, three sons: Bruce Brown II of Peoria, Brian Brown of Morton, Bradley (La’Vette) Brown of East Peoria, four grandchildren: Taylor Brown, Jacob Brown, Bryston Brown, and Brian Brown II. She also leaves behind four great-grandchildren: Liam, Jude, Penelope Brown, Harper Myers, one twin brother, Andy (Carol) Ragan, one brother, Johnny Ragan, three sisters: Edna, Connie, Elaine, her beloved dogs, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Daisy Brown.

Amanda raised her three sons she loved dearly and retired from Kroger in 2011 after dedicating over 20 years of her life there. She loved to travel, spend time with her family, sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her pets. She was a special lady, loved by all, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.

Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
