Shirley Ann Hanna (Robson), 87, of East Lansing, died peacefully surrounded by family on April 27, 2024. She was born October 13, 1936 to Byron & Arlene (Dryer) Robson of Bath, Michigan. Shirley attended Bath schools, graduated from Resurrection High School in Lansing and Mercy School of Nursing at St. Lawrence Hospital and worked as an RN for 40 years in the Lansing area.
She married Richard E. Hanna of East Lansing in 1958. She is survived by her four daughters, Catherine (Nick) Eastman, Mary (Henry) Morley, Ellen (Steve) Trecha, and Jennifer (Blaine) Sochor. Thirteen grandchildren Jacob and Luke Eastman; Jordan (Ryan) Larsen; Matthew, Erik and Alexandra Trecha; Emily(Chris) Richter; Melissa and Amanda Morley; Paul, Molly and Anna Sochor; Sarah (Tyler) Gillespie; Four Great Grandchildren Asher and Keira Larsen; Dakota and Parker Gillespie. Her brother George (Cynthia) Robson and sister Mary Clark also survive her as well as many nieces and nephews.
Her husband Dick, brother Burton Robson and sister Betsy Robson preceded her in death.
Summers were spent at the family farm near Charlevoix, Michigan and winters in Melbourne Beach, Florida. Shirley was a world traveler, runner, walker, reader, and a music lover.
In lieu of flowers, give hugs, smiles, donations to local food banks and most of all, be a blood donor if possible. She was a faithful donor of over 20 gallons.

A private family service will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church with interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Petoskey, MI.
